Class Description
I approach my dance practice as an act of remembering pleasure and purpose. My class starts with prompts from somatics. Warming up with repeated developmental patterns prepares for movement sequences challenging spatial orientation, rhythmic dynamic, and flow. These are proposed with opportunities for finding variations and an appropriate level of difficulty for each participant. Improvisation and study in small groups opens up the training space for exchange amongst participants. In the final section of the training, we seek to find further applications of the material proposed, dancing to a music selection which motivates.
Level: open
