A screeching drill at a road construction site. Roaring drunks on the last subway train. The overload of sound and image impressions when scrolling through social media. Or the endless rolling of thoughts in your own head that just won't stop. All of this is noise. Noise never really stops. In Paula Rosolen's latest work, three dancers seek a physical expression for this omnipresent phenomenon. The choreographer, who is now celebrated far beyond Frankfurt, asks to what extent noise reflects social and historical changes. Is it merely an expression of unrest and dissonance or is there more to it than that? And what can noise achieve? Rosolen's captivating choreography explores the tension between chaos and clarity, explosion and simplicity.
